Rodrigo Roa Duterte once again defended the online sabong that generates huge revenue to the government.
This was announced by the president at the height of the groundbreaking ceremony for the OFW center in Daang Hari, Las Piñas City.
According to the president, he allowed it to increase the incoming revenue in the country due to the pandemic.
He said e-sabong provides up to P640-M to the government per month and the revenue from it is used by the government for the COVID-19 response and for the intelligence fund.
He emphasized that he knows no one in the e-sabong and it is a transaction of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
