Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson, a candidate for the presidency, has no objections to his running mate, Senate President Vicente Sotto III, participating campaign meetings for Senator Manny Pacquiao, who also was a presidential candidate.
According to Ping, Sotto will continue to attend Pacquiao's campaign rallies as long as he is the sole supporter of the campaign.

Earlier, Pacquiao's vice presidential candidate, Vice Speaker of the House Lito Atienza, stated that he would be seriously considering stepping down as candidate for vice president.
Following that, Atienza mentioned that he hopes Lacson will withdraw from his campaign and allow Pacquiao and Sotto to be the tandem.
