Presidential frontrunner Bongbong Marcos will be supported by former Energy secretary of Noynoy Aquino Jericho Petilla.
This is despite Petilla's support for Vice President Leni Robredo when it ran in the 2016 Elections.
According to Petilla, BBM is from Leyte because his mother Imelda Marcos is from Tacloban so he supports her.
For the same reason, he said, it will be an advantage for Leyte because it is the first time that someone is running for the presidency from their province.
Petilla has been under the PDP-Laban since 2017 but it also ran in 2016 under the Liberal Party of the Aquinos.
Petilla said he moved to PDP-Laban to give Leyte due attention from the Duterte Administration.
