The former Smartmatic employee who released the software provider's laptop has already issued a sworn affidavit which led to the alleged data breach.
According to Senate President Tito Sotto III, there is a new development in their ongoing hearing regarding Smartmatic - the software contractor of the COMELEC for the 2022 Elections.
In the Affidavit the employee was able to provide another name implicated in the data breach.
Even the date and place where the breach occurred has already been written by it.
According to Sotto, such information is important in the hearings conducted by the authorities, particularly the NBI.
According to Sotto, the employee is currently in the custody of the NBI.
