Migz Zubiri dropped from Lacson-Sotto slate after Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos endorsement

Reelectionist Sen. Migz Zubiri has been removed from the senatorial slate of presidential candidate Ping Lacson after openly endorsing his opponent Bongbong
Marcos in Bukidnon.

It was only on Thursday that Zubiri called Bongbong "our president" in Malaybalay, Bukidnon after his long campaign without endorsement for his re-election bid in May.

"Alam naman nila ‘yon, kung ano ‘yung consequence. Kung ayaw nila sa amin, iba ‘yung gustong dalhin, eh parang awkward naman na dalhin pa rin namin sila, hindi ba?" wika ni Lacson, Lunes, sa media habang bumibisita sa Romblon.

"So, it’s a personal choice. No hard feelings."

The Lacson-Sotto tandem also recently dropped from their senatorial line-up comedians Herbert Bautista and Sherwin Gatchalian, who are both now campaigning for BBM.

It will be recalled that Lacson's senatorial line-up used to be 15, which was then led by the Reform Party.

In the Venn diagram released by Kabataan party-list first nominee Raoul Manuel, four presidential and VP running mates can be seen endorsing Zubiri back then.

Here are the words Zubiri uttered at the Marcos rally that led to his removal from Lacson's line-up: "Ito ang unang beses ko na makakita ng ganito karaming crowd para suportahan ang isang tao... Maraming nagmamahal sa ating pangulo. Tapos na. Umuwi na tayo, may nanalo na," Zubiri said in Bukidnon.
