Senator Christopher “Bong” Go assured that although the burden of the presidency has affected the health of President Rodrigo Duterte, the Chief Executive is still in good condition and will continue to serve the Filipino people until the last day of his term.
In an ambush interview after the opening of the Center for Thoracic and Critical Care Medicine at Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) in San Juan City on Thursday, April 7, Senator Go, as the President’s aide for more than 20 years, mentioned how the President has been working tirelessly and has focused only on serving the Filipinos even until the last days of his term.
Go also shared how President Duterte's office really squeezed him both physically and mentally. The senator stressed that it is only normal for the President to feel tired after years of being a public servant.
President Duterte was previously seen visiting Cardinal Santos Medical Center due to concerns about his health. Go mentioned that the President only prioritizes his health to ensure that he can serve the country well.
He also assured Filipinos that there is nothing to worry about with PRRD’s health as CSMC doctors are taking care of the President to ensure that he is healthy and well to carry on the heavy responsibilities in his office.
