Trillanes: Documents from friends of 'Bikoy' show bank accounts with P8 Billion

Documents allegedly provided by friend Peter Joemel Advincula show that one bank account contains a total of P8 billion.

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV revealed this at a press conference in the Senate on Tuesday.

Trillanes said the bank account was part of a 700-page document submitted to him last year by priests, who took Advincula prisoners.

The priests then took Advincula to Trillanes and gave him documents, which were allegedly from Jessmark Acosta and Dan de Vera, who were said to be members of the drug syndicate.

Trillanes, in a special speech on May 27, said that Acosta and De Vera were Advincula's best friends.

“By the looks of it, mayroong ledger, then meron silang parang internal accounting documents, may bank statements. So on the face ganun ang itsura niya,” he said of the documents.

Based on documents, Trillanes said several bank accounts contained billions of pesos.

“Iba-iba kasi ‘yung nakukuha kada isang tao, iba iba e. May mas malaki, may mas maliit,” he said.

“Siguro ‘yung pinakamalaki, collectively aabot siguro ng P8 billion in a span of so many years. ‘Yung iba P5 billion, P4 billion…” he added.

Trillanes refused to identify the account holder from the bank account while waiting for confirmation and validation from the relevant bank institution.

After being validated, the documents will prove that there is money laundering and that the money is not true.

When asked if there were government officials involved, Trillanes answered yes.

"Some if that," he added.

Trillanes first mentioned the document in a privileged speech where he admitted that Advincula was brought to him by priests.

Advincula, who was suspected of worrying about his life, had sought refuge from the priests, who then took him to Trillanes.

But the senator said Advincula had not passed the inspection process.

Advincula claims to be "Bikoy," a hooded man in the video "Ang Totoong Narcolist", connecting brother and ally of President Rodrigo Duterte with drugs.

However, Advincula withdrew his accusations and accused the Liberal Party and several opposition members, including Trillanes, of arranging the planned dismissal of Duterte.
