It seems that Calvin Abueva is just a warmup for the TnT Katropa import Terrence Jones.
Now the most talented import in the PBA Commissioner Cup is directly dealing with the most popular league football clubs.
Jones and the Katropa take on the Kings in Wednesday night's main match at Smart Araneta Coliseum and the former NBA player hopes fans will be there to watch 'a fun game.'
"I hope many fans will come. Fans have shown a lot of love since I was here and supported me, "Jones said ahead of his first meeting with the Kings.
"I'm just having fun. It's fun every game. "
Jones had directed Katropa to a winning streak for a 4-1 record (tied for second place with NorthPort), including the demolition of San Miguel 110-97 last week.
The meeting with the Kings also came more than a week since Jones was given a dangerous clothesline by Abueva in the Katropa match against Phoenix, which led to the suspension of an uncertain eccentric striker from the league.
The former Rocket Houston said the team's chemistry had so far been the key to Katropa's initial success at the conference.
"My team mates showed nothing but love and respect and we had fun in training and in matches," he said.
The Jones blast game is clearly a concern for Barangay Ginebra coaches, Tim Cone.
"We hope to bounce back strongly against the team that has played the best basketball possible at the conference," said Cone, whose team (2-2) hit 104-81 for Rain or Shine.
"This is a difficult task at the beginning of this conference, but we must be prepared to face challenges."
